Desperate Places: Finding Purpose Through Pain Pt. 2

All of us face challenges, difficulties and small tests on a daily basis. These are very common to us all. But there are times in life, when out of left field, you are hit by a traumatic, life-altering event. In part one of this two-part series, Pastor Paul Kern shares from his family’s own personal traumatic experience the desperate place they found themselves in when they lost their oldest son to a debilitating disease. The Bible shares many stories of God’s people facing huge obstacles that challenged their very trust in God; Abraham with his son Isaac, Noah and the flood, Moses in the wilderness, Joseph in the pit, Paul and his imprisonments and even Jesus on the cross.
The fact is, there are events in life that are entirely unfair and make absolutely no sense, but Paul encourages believers to not confuse God and life. In this message you will be challenged to trust God even when life seems to be crumbling all around you. Be encouraged as Paul shares from his family’s own encounter with a Desperate Place in part two of this series.

Moments With Jesus

Associate Pastor David Pate encourages believers to move away from religion and move into relationship with Jesus. David says its is easy to get caught in a rut of doing religious activities and going through the motions of church, instead of cultivating a vibrant, real, alive relationship with the Savior. You will be blessed and motivated to take inventory of your spiritual life as you listen to this challenging message.

Ambassador

In this compelling message Pastor Tim Brooks shares how God has destined and positioned us to be the ambassadors of His Kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5:20, “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”” This is an incredible opportunity for all believers to represent God’s values and His truth. Pastor Tim explains as God’s ambassadors, we are obligated to communicate what God represents in His Word, not what we feel or think. You will be challenged by this powerful message.

Simple Love

Our Student Pastor, Josh Barnett, teaches on the simplicity of love and serving a God that commands us only to do two things, love Him and love people.  In this teaching, Josh will show the way we love God is by obeying His commandments and the way that we love people is through sacrifice, generosity, service, forgiveness, and truth. He also highlights the importance of loving all people, not just our friends and family, with sincerity as we allow the love of God to overflow out of us in our daily lives. We hope you are encouraged by this message on Simple Love.

All Lives Matter

In this message Pastor Tim Brooks speaks about the current social conflicts we are facing as a nation. Tim traces the disunity of our culture all the way back through Biblical times and reveals why mankind is at odds with each other. Tim also reveals the solution is not found in crafting new laws or in governmental programs, but instead they are found in God and His plan of redemption. We encourage you to listen to this challenging and inspiring message by Pastor Tim Brooks.

Is He?

The theme at Christian Ministries Church for 2016 is “Jesus Is Lord”. In this compelling message Pastor Tim Brooks ask the question, Is He? The Bible makes it very clear that on the day of Christ’s return, many will believe they are saved, only to find out that just because they professed Jesus is Lord, doesn’t automatically mean He is. Pastor Tim challenges believers to evaluate their relationship with Jesus Christ. Are you just going through a religious motion? Are you doing right only because you are being monitored by others? God wants you to experience a real relationship with His Son Jesus and to have a personal walk with Him daily. This message will challenge you to evaluate your walk with God and make the necessary changes that made be needed.

Instability

In this message Pastor Tim Brooks reveals an area that causes many believers to miss out on the blessed life God intends for them to experience. Instability. Tim reveals how many people don’t experience God’s favor because they won’t stay consistent long enough for the seeds of faithfulness to grow. You will be challenge and encouraged by this applicable message by Tim.
